JT King
JT King comes by his musical influences naturally. He grew up on a farm in Selma, CA, a small town less than 100 miles from Bakersfield where his father farmed vineyards for Sun-Maid Raisins and both of his parents were teachers. All of his brothers were musicians and his oldest brother David introduced him to many different artists and styles of music on a regular basis. During high school, he split his time between sports and performing music with his band and his brothers. He was the drummer for David’s band before his brother moved to LA. JT picked up the guitar his freshman year in college and was inspired by country’s leading men like George Strait, Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw and Keith Urban. He moved to Texas where he began writing songs and playing in clubs around Dallas. At 26 he was signed to an indie label where he released his first EP. He was featured as the lead singer in other bands and enjoys collaborating with other artists while continuing to perform his own music. ~ Stacey Saint
